Good afternoon,
As well as heading over to the church to refamiliarise ourselves with Genuflecting and such, and a bit more art...
...we joined the whole school in congratulating Miss Shaw for teaching here at OLA for 30 years. 30 years!
Wow!
So Miss Shaw had the afternoon off, and we had...well...a bit of Hatchet (everyone really seems to be getting into it) and assembly.
Overall I think it would be fair to say that we've had a great first week.
Have a nice long weekend, and we'll see you on Tuesday.

Hot Hot Thursday
Good afternoon,
And a glorious afternoon it is too. So much so that, before the heat got a little too much, this morning we headed out for some small ball games rather than in the afternoon.
The...back inside for some writing...
...then back outside for a fire drill...
...and back inside again for some reading.
And other stuff.
And a good time was had by all!

Wednesday's Wonderings
Good afternoon,
Today, as well as a few more collaborative activities...
(though to be fair, these were more competitive - King of Tokyo and relay races)
...the team also explored some different ways to pray, such as journaling, through music and meditations on scripture.
Tomorrow's our first P.E. day, so formal uniform will not be needed.

Tuesday's Happenings
Good afternoon,
Not a great deal to report really, apart from the fact that I am very impressed with how the Room 3 Year 5s are co-operating and working together on the same Google sheets at the same [Google] time.
Great stuff!
(Oh, and their enthusiastic reception for the introduction of Study Ladder, Yahtzee and King of Tokyo as independent maths activities!)
Speaking of great stuff, the whole team seems to be enjoying our team novel, Hatchet. Brian is all alone in the plane with the dead pilot, and has just flown out of ground contact...
More tomorrow!

First Day...
...what's the opposite of blues? Reds?
Anyhow,
Good afternoon,
Today the Batten Team gathered...
...galloped...
...and Googled co-operatively.
Much of the same will be happening tomorrow.
