Not a great deal to report really. We Math'd, Ran, Wrote (briefly...someone got a little carried away with teaching how to embed their writing into a blog post...), Read, and R.E.'d.
Please join us for our Easter Liturgy tomorrow afternoon in the hall. Starting @ 2:15.
And what an afternoon it is. Very wera (hot). Which may have been mistakenly expressed as wera nui (big hot?). Opps!
Ah well, 'twas glorious anyhow.
A great day for some reading inside (with air conditioning)...
...and for hockey outside.
And a good time was had by all.
Oh, and we finished that Holy Week activity...
We caluclated the days based on the recognition that the Greek word translated as "sabbath" in Matthew 28:1 σαββατων is actually "sabbaths", that Passover (an annual "special" sabbath day - on the 14th of Nissan each year) was on the Friday (followed by the weekly sabbath day, Saturday), so Jesus must have been crucified on the Thursday. That also fits the "he rose again on the third day" of scripture (1 Corinthians 15:3). He died Thursday, rose again on the third day after his death - Friday, Saturday...the early hours of Sunday morning.
No photos this fine day, however we still some evidence of work...
...and we started looking at scripture to identify the events of Holy Week.
...which we will continue tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, we're hoping to have one more hockey session...although there is a touch of confusion over that, so...your children may or may not come home in their sports gear.
